About Victoria
Victoria G. Torp is the founder of WITT Hub Inc., a social enterprise dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the tech industry. With a background in Cognitive Science (B.A.) and Security and Intelligence Studies (M.A.), and as a cybersecurity professional, she applies her expertise to develop innovative, community-serving applications with security in mind. As an immigrant woman, Victoria faced challenges entering Canada’s tech workforce. With the support of key individuals, she secured a cybersecurity role in a consulting firm, where she saw firsthand the underrepresentation of women in the Canadian tech sector—especially immigrant women. Determined to create change, she became a driving force in initiatives that foster social and professional networks to help newcomer women thrive. From leading a long-running volunteer program since 2021 to launching WITT Hub in 2024, she has built a space where immigrant women can connect, support one another, and break down barriers in the industry.
