About Iuliia

Iuliia Poliakova is a Software Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with extensive experience in testing web-based applications. Originally a language teacher, Iuliia transitioned into tech in 2019, bringing structured thinking, strong communication, attention to detail, and adaptability into quality assurance. After immigrating to Canada in 2021, she returned from maternity leave and joined WITT Hub in 2024, starting as a volunteer on a co-parenting app. Working with a diverse team, she focused on enhancing software quality, reliability, and user experience. Her contributions led to involvement in client-facing projects at WITT Hub, where she has a blended role as a Security QA Engineer. In this position, she ensures products meet stakeholder needs while proactively addressing cybersecurity threats they might not have considered. She is deeply involved in all aspects of app development—from defining business and acceptance requirements to developing secure flows, testing applications, and beyond—delivering trustworthy, cybersecure, and high-quality products.
