Myths and Realities of Digital Nomadism: Beyond the Perfect Instagram Photos
Soft skill (Main Stage) (10:30 ~ 13:00)
In this talk, I’ll reveal what it’s really like to be a digital nomad—beyond the dreamy Instagram shots working by a pool or on a tropical beach. Some say the hardest part is being away from loved ones or constantly adapting to new cultures, but in my experience, the real challenge is something much simpler: figuring out where to do the laundry with the few clothes we carry in our small luggage.
I’ll share insights on safe travel destinations, what digital nomads actually pack, recommendations and tips if you work in the tech industry, and the true cost of living on the road. Spoiler: It’s not as expensive as you might think. Being a digital nomad isn’t for everyone, and it may not be forever, but it’s a unique lifestyle that lets you explore beautiful places, meet fascinating people, and—most importantly—discover yourself.
