Session Spotlight
Gamification in the service of science
Gamification and serious games are now powerful tools for making science more accessible, engaging, and understandable for both expert and non-specialist audiences. Beyond entertainment, these approaches leverage mechanisms from cognitive psychology, UX, and game design to support learning, motivation, and participation.
This conference will offer a critical perspective on gamification applied to scientific and educational contexts, through concrete examples of research projects, educational platforms, and interactive tools. It will address the conditions for success, pitfalls to avoid, and ethical issues related to the use of games in serious contexts.
